A Massachusetts priest jailed accused of stalking talk show host Conan O'Brien appeared in a Manhattan courtroom Friday. NewsCenter 5's Todd Kazakiewich reported that a judge in New York ruled that even though accused stalker Rev. David Ajemian has been undergoing treatment for mental health problems for more than a year, he is able to stand trial.

"I've just spent a week in the custody of the New York City Police Department," Ajemian said.
That was all Ajemian had to say after being declared fit to stand trial. The 46-year-old Boston-area priest was arrested last week in New York while attempting to enter a taping of O'Brien's "Late Night" talk show.
Ajemian allegedly began writing threatening letters to O'Brien in September 2006. The suspect's father, Robert Ajemian, said Ajemian has been receiving treatment for mental health problems.
"He's been under some medication, and whether he has got the right medication or he stopped taking his medication -- whatever happened, he doesn't fully understand yet," Robert Ajemian said.
"Inside Edition" obtained a photo depicting Ajemian in very close proximity to O'Brien at a church food kitchen in Massachusetts. Court papers allege the priest once referred to himself as, "your priest stalker." On an earlier occasion -- after being thrown out of O'Brien's studio -- Ajemian reportedly wrote, "Is this the way you treat your most dangerous fans?"
"This is a mental health problem and not a prison problem. I think he needs to get some treatment," Robert Ajemian said.
